The Product

The Antibody Registry is a database containing information about antibodies — markers relating to illness and other biological processes in living creatures — for use in biomedical research. It provides a service for researchers to properly cite the antibodies they have used or created when they publish their research papers to journals.

ABR is an effort by FDI Lab and SciCrunch, whose project goals are to standardize citations in scientific publications to improve reproducibility and consistency in the biomedical field.

One crucial aspect of the service is its crowd-sourced data, which must come from researchers submitting information about the antibodies they’ve used. I redesigned the workflow to include new functions such as checking for duplicates, previewing commercial antibody sites, and web-scraping relevant information to automatically populate the submission’s input fields.
